Diane Charlene Andrews, 62, of Roanoke went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She loved the Lord and enjoyed every blessing every day and being a part of New Life Christian Ministries, where she attended regularly. Diane loved all animals, especially her beloved pet dog, Birdie. Diane enjoyed all of nature including watching her hummingbirds and butterflies. She always saw a blessing in everyone she met as well as she had an impact on others with her beautiful smile.

She was born on October 27, 1955 in Covington, VA to the late Wallace and Opal Andrews. Diane moved back to Roanoke in 2006 after retiring from her dog walking business, Walking and Wagging, in Old Town, Alexandria.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her step-father, Joe McCray.

She is survived by siblings, Dawn Stone, Daryl Andrews and his wife, Caroline; “adopted” sisters and brother, Janet Woods, Carl and Gail Hoffman; and many many truly LOVED cousins, friends and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Oakey’s South Chapel with Pastor Gary Alls officiating. Interment will follow at Alleghany Memorial Park at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Oakey’s South Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Angels of Assisi.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on 7 East for their excellent care and love given to Diane. www.oakeys.com
