She was born June 14, 1952 in Springfield, the daughter of Mervin Wolfe and Shirley Johnson. She was married to Leroy Copeland, Chicago, Ill. and had a daughter Mattie, and sons Leroy and Rodney Copeland. She was married to her life companion, Eugene McKinney, June 14, 1981.
Sharon was preceded in death by Mattie and son Leroy, father Mervin Wolfe, grandparents Evelyn and Elwood Wolfe and Nellie and Richard Johnson.
She is survived by her husband Eugene of Town and Country, Mo., son Rodney Copeland, grandsons Isaiah and Teigan Copeland of Chesterfield, Mo., mother Shirley (Dale) Carstens of Pontiac, Ill., brothers Jim Wolfe of Kincaid, Ill. and Mervin Wolfe Jr. of Mattoon, Ill., two sisters: Faun Rogers of Ocala, Fla., and Deb (Mike) Krause of Fairfax, Va., 12 nieces and nephews and 25 great-nieces and nephews.
Sharon attended Kincaid High School and Art School in Chicago. She worked as a teacher’s assistant in Chicago, as well as Springfield, Ill. She loved her children and grandsons, music, books, travel and dancing. She never met a stranger and would give her all to help people out.
