MARION - Marjorie Inman Byrd 88, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Richardson Funeral Home, burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Laurinburg, NC, a daughter of the late Settie and Ethel Waters Inman. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William “Tommy” James Byrd, Sr.; brothers, John Inman and Harold Inman, and a sister, Ann Smith.

She was retired from Heritage Sportswear, where she worked in a supervisory role for 41 years. Mrs. Byrd was also a volunteer at Marion Memorial Hospital, and member of The Marion Church of God since 1950.

Surviving are two sons, William James Byrd, Jr. (Karen) and Danny D. Byrd (Cindy), both of Marion; sister, Eloise Martin of Brownsville, TX; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
