Lloyd N. Mitchell, 76, of Ridgeway, Va., went to be in the presence of his Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Patrick County, Va. on January 23, 1942 to the late James M. Mitchell and the late Verda Collins Mitchell. Lloyd was also preceded in death by his sister, Nellie Owens.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, June W. Mitchell; children, Jennifer Clifton, Christine Lynette Akers and husband, Ken, Jerry "Peety" Turner and Lori Turner Peters and husband Brian; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11 am at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Stoneville, N.C. with Pastor Howard Owens officiating. Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Burial Park.
