Danny Joe Davis was born August 7, 1944 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Olen Albert Davis and Helen Inetha Henson Malone and her husband Jim. He was united in marriage to Sandra Jean on September 5, 1964. Mrs. Davis preceded him in death on November 8, 2009. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Enjoyed Nascar, Westerns, camping and fishing when able.
Mr. Davis departed this life on March 10, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 3 Days.
He is survived by four daughters: Stacy Carol Davis of Selmer, TN, Dana Jo Burns and husband Ricky of Halls, TN, Rhonda Cobb and husband Jim of GA, Kelly Jean Adams and husband Jeremiah of Sweet Lips, TN; eight grandchildren: Daniel Jeremiah Holmes, Nathan Holmes, Danna Ward, Kristen McLin and husband James, Sarah Thomas, Jesse Wayne Baird, Kerry Baird, Brandon Burns; 10 Great Grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Becky McDowell and husband Eddie of Selmer, TN and Phylis Robinson of Selmer, TN; brothers-in-law, AC Easlick of Selmer, Stanley Gray of Biloxi MS, TL Atkinson of Selmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Sue Russell; two brothers, Sonny and Hurbert Davis; grandchild, Jonathan Ward; sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Fannie Atkinson; brother-in-law, Johnny Gray.
