The funeral will be 2 PM Thursday, April 28, at Union Baptist Church, 1876 Old Northeast Road, Lake Waccamaw, NC, by Elder Shawn Maynor. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Church Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Wednesday from 12-7 PM and Thursday from 9 AM until 12 Noon. Viewing will be at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service and again following the service. There will be a wake Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home chapel.
Surviving are his parents, Irise and Samuel Hampton, Jr. of Bolton, NC; son, Samuel Odell Hampton, IV of Chadbourn, NC; sisters, Yvette Hampton and Shaneeka S. Hampton of Charlotte, NC, and Shanita L. Hampton of the home; brother, Clifton L. Beatty of Bolton, NC; paternal grandmother, Odessia Hampton of Bolton, NC; and maternal grandmother, Mamie Beatty of Bolton, NC.
