Mr. Timothy Hines, age 84, of High Springs, FL, passed away on March 7, 2018 at Park Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL.
Mr. Hines was a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, President of Togetherness, member of the Prayer Band, and last surviving member of the Southland Gospel Singers.
Mr. Hines was employed with the Alachua County School Board as a Custodian until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his children; Larry Hines, Johnell Hines, Barbara Reed, and Shirley Nash.
Mr. Hines is survived by his wife; Christine Hines, Waldo, FL; children, Edward Hines (Carrie), Waldo, FL, Timothy Hines, Jr.(Vanette), Brooker, FL, Wallace Reed, Miami, FL, Jessie Hines, St. Petersburg, FL, Gail Carter (Rev. Gilford), Gainesville, FL, Terry Hines, High Springs, FL; siblings, Charles Hines, Daytona Beach, FL, Dorothy E. Hines, Cairo, Georgia, Claretha Wade(Bill), Daytona Beach, FL, and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on March 17, 2018 at the Female Protective Temple in Gainesville. Burial followed in Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua, FL.
