Lloyd Allen Gray was born on December 19, 1944, in Houston, Texas to parents Lois Adelade Jackson and James Clarence Gray and went home to be with his Lord on Friday, February 2, 2018. Lloyd was the youngest of five children and lived in Houston until 1998.

Lloyd married Monica Gray on October 23, 2004, and was a resident of Jamaica Beach, Texas. He had a career as a Corporate Radiation Safety and Environmental Officer until his retirement in 2008. Lloyd will be remembered for his integrity, his confidence, dependability, loyalty and for his prideful nature. He was a mentor, determined and a devoted man. Lloyd loved to spend his time at the beach, boating, cooking, watching cooking shows and enjoyed his waterfront home. Lloyd loved classic country music and, on occasion, Mary J. Blige.

Prior to retirement, he was actively involved in several organizations. He served on the Board of Directors of the Nondestructive Testing Management Association, Board of Directors of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission – Radiation Guidelines and Rules, Committee Chair of Government Internal Affairs Commission and was a member of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents James Clarence Gray and Lois Hart; brother, James Gray; sisters, Doris Jones and Joyce Arnold; and daughter, Tina Gray.

He is survived by his wife, Monica Gray; sister, Delores and husband David Williams; children, Keith Gray, Lisa and husband Jose Mejia, Tracy and husband Ron Bearden, and Alan and wife Michele Gray; stepchildren, Cory Denena and Chad Denena; as well as numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 5th, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at 10:00am at San Jacinto Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
