Charles J. Albee, 73, of Rumford Towers, Newman Avenue, a toolmaker for Speidel, Providence, for 13 years before retiring in 1978, died yesterday at home. He was the husband of the late Dorothy P. (Esser) Albee.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Henry and Sarah R. (Nickerson) Albee, he lived in East Providence most of his life.
Mr. Albee a member of the Kentish Guards, East Greenwich, the Rhode Island State Marshalls FOP Lodge 24, Providence, the Kent County Deputy Sheriffs Association, the Rhode Island Palestine Temple Shrine, Cranston, Overseas Lodge 40 F & AM, Cranton, the IAMAW, Local 128, Providence, and the Rumford Towers Tenants Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a daughter, a sister, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
