He was born in Macon County, NC to the late Floyd and Mary Willis Pendergrass. Charles worked in a furniture plant in Bryson City, NC. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Sue Hembree Pendergrass; two brothers, Hubert Pendergrass and Pete Pendergrass and one sister, Julia Martha Pendergrass.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Bo Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Aquone Cemetery in the Nantahala community. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM, Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
