He was a veteran of WWI, and a member of the Western Maryland Railway for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wilda R. Whitacre Beatty; one son, Robert, at home; one brother, Howard Beatty, Phoenix, Az; and one sister, Mildred Hyde, Richmond, Va.
Services were held at the Leaf Funeral Home in Halfway. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport. Military honros and pallbearers were afforded by members of Morris Frock Post.
