D.A. COOPER DIES EARLY YESTERDAY
Prominent Realtor of Orlando taken by death at age of 58
RESIDENT OF 18 YEARS
Formed Firm of Cooper-Atha-Barr Real Estate and Mortgage Co
David A Cooper, for 18 years a resident of Orlando, prominent real estate operator and secretary and treasurer of the Cooper-Atha-Barr Real Estate and Mortgage Company died at 3 o'clock yesterday (10/10/1929) morning at his home at 41 East Pine Street, following and illness of several months.
He was the senior member in the firm of Cooper-Atha-Barr, which was first formed as a partnership between Mr. Cooper and S.H Atha in 1912, and to this partnership H.W. Barr joined to form the firm as it is known today.
Through Mr. Cooper's efforts and activities the firm gradually widened its influence and activity until it has become one of the largest and most prominent of its type in central Florida.

Born Near Peoria, Ill.
Mr. Cooper was born October 13, 1871, near Peoria, Ill., the son of Absalom J. and Elizabeth Cooper.
His grandparents were pioneers in the state of Illinois.
He was educated in Illinois public schools and worked on his parents'; farm until he was 19 years old.
Mr Cooper engaged in business at Guthrie and Elgin, Ill., for a number of years and in 1911 he came to Orlando and entered the real estate business, and he has since become one of the most highly respected citizens of the city, prominent in civic and church affairs, and one well known for his high standards, both of a personal and professional nature.
He has been a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Orlando for a number of years, serving prominently in various capacities for the organization.
