Michael William Cline was born on January 25, 1956 in Alexandria Virginia, and passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 from a heart attack on March 10, 2018.
Mike was raised in Tacoma Washington, and was a graduate of Bellarmine High School, Class of 1974. He would later go on to get his Bachelor’s of Health Science in Professional Development and Advanced Patient Care from Grand Canyon University. He entered the healthcare field as a Respiratory Therapist, and he provided respiratory services to many different patients over the years while working for American HomePatient, Care Medical, Norco, and Performance Home Medical.
He was also a lead instructor in the RT Program at Tacoma Community College, where he taught hundreds of students over the course of many years.
Mike was a devoted husband and a loving father, and anyone who knew him personally would say that he was a selfless individual who proudly put the needs and happiness of others far before his own. He was a man of many talents, and his greatest hobbies included woodstrip boat building, fishing, storytelling, automotive repair, political analysis, deep fry cooking, bird watching, nature hiking, narrative and educational writing, and he was even the author of two published books, one on boat building and the other on respiratory care.
Mike was a true gift to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed. His memory and legacy are fondly cherished by his loving wife Tara Cline, and his beloved children Christopher and Kaela Cline.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah (Sally) Cline, and his departed brother Richard (Dick) Cline.
He has three surviving brothers; Thomas, Andy and John Cline, two step brothers; Mike and Tommy Nelson, and two sisters; Anna Cline and Mary Stevens. He was loved and treasured by many more people, too numerous to mention.
A celebration of life service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Aspen Chapel in Lakewood, Sunday, March 18th at 11:30 AM, with a subsequent reception. There will also be a public viewing from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 17th
