Melinda Lee (Anderson) Long was born on June 22, 1963 in Robertson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Jay Mart Anderson (1930–2006) and Lottie Julia (Woodham) Anderson (1930–1993). {Melinda's parents were married on November 6, 1950 in Robertson County.}
She was married to James "Toby" Long.
Melinda had worked in the dietary department at the Waters of Springfield and was a member of West End Free Will Baptist Church. Melinda loved fishing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a very giving and caring person to all she knew.
Living in Springfield, Robertson County, Melinda was 54 years old when she died March 3, 2018 at North Crest Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Deana Anderson, while survivors included her husband, a married son, married daughter, a stepdaughter, two brothers and a sister-in-law, two sisters and a brother-in-law and eight grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home, and burial was in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
