Mr. Harwood was a traveling Evangelist, who loved to preach and talk about his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time outdoors. Mr. Harwood also served in the United States National Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife Linda Moore Harwood of the home; two sons, Christian Walsh and wife Jennifer, and James Bowman, all of Granite Falls; two daughters, Beth-Ann Harwood of PA, and Tracy Hicks and husband Trey of Fort Mill, SC; nine brothers, Keith Harwood, Charles Harwood and wife Kathy, Ricky Harwood and wife Trudy, Norman Harwood and wife Mary, Terry Harwood and wife Dar, Merle Harwood, Jeff Harwood, Ronnie Harwood, and Paul Harwood and wife Rose; one sister, Daisy Harwood; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Karen Glover. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
