Dale L. Hoover, died Friday, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was born September 9, 1932, in Clymer, PA.
He resided for most of his life on Queen Street, in Oberlin, with his long time friends, Mr. and Mrs. White. He retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad that is now known as Conrail. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and spent many of his retired years in outdoor activities and woodworking projects. He was a member of many military and service organizations, to include, Lawnton Legion Post #998, Rutherford VFW Post #1213 and Huntingdon Moose Lodge #223.
He is survived by six children, Richard, Kathy and Raymond, of Pennsylvania, Dale, Jr., of South Carolina, Sherry of Alabama, Charlotte of Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; a brother, Richard and three sisters, Shirley, Alice and Rose Marie.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Neill Funeral Home, Inc., Paxtang. There will be no viewing. Interment will take place at a later date, in Atwood Cemetery, Home Township, PA.
