Roy E. Moses, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 12, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Roy was born April 12, 1930 in Alcoa, Tennessee, the son of Carl & Glenn (Adams) Moses.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1949 during the Korean War and served a two year duty tour in Guam.

He married Shirley Bolt July 2, 1953 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Roy was employed with Northwestern Bell in Waterloo for 30 years and then for AT&T for 3 years following the divestiture, retiring in 1987. He was an active member of the CWA Union.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Moses of Cedar Falls; his daughter, Carla Kisner of Cedar Falls; his son, Scott (special friend Julie) Moses of New Hartford; four grandchildren, Kailey, Kade, Lindsay and Garrett and two great grandchildren, Daxton and Layton.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery with full military honors by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society, Waterloo.
