MANSFIELD: David H. Arthur, age 79, of Mansfield, died Monday morning March 12, 2018 in his home.

He was born March 3, 1939 in Greenup, Kentucky the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Betts) Arthur and graduated from McKell High School.

On February 20, 1971 he married Sharon Lee Frazier and together they celebrated 36 years before her death in 2007.

David worked for over 17 years at Ohio Brass and later at Mansfield Screw Machine from which he retired on August 7, 2000.

David was gifted with the ability to fix things… especially small engines including lawn mowers and small tractors. He found many treasures to repair during garage sale season with Sharon. David also loved fishing, especially catfish, and enjoyed spending the day fishing with his family.

He is survived by seven children Angie (Roger) Dennis of Caledonia, Timothy Arthur of Lexington, Dexter Wolfe of McDermott, Elizabeth Taylor of Mansfield, Texas; Rhonda Craft of Arlington, Texas, Carlos Arthur of Ontario, and David and Karin Arthur of Lexington; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, a sister Lovell Van Bibber of Florida and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife Sharon, he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Jo French.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
