Charles Wesley Adkisson, age 79, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at his home in East Prairie, Missouri.
He was born January 17, 1939, in Mississippi County, Missouri, to the late Robert and Howard Lee Harr Adkisson. Charles was a farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.
On July 7, 1957, he married Cecilia LaPlant; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Tim Adkisson of Benton, Missouri and JoRita Adkisson of Benton and Chris and Laurel Adkisson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and one daughter, Stephanie Adkisson Vickery of St. Louis, Missouri. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Josh Adkisson of Brewton, Alabama and Jason Adkisson and Jennifer Morrow of Benton; two great grandchildren, Mattie Claire Adkisson and Chase Morrow; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frankie Owens and Jean Nall.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Bro. Bill Adkisson will officiate.
Interment will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
