Mrs. Susie Mullis Smith, 83, formerly of Marshville, died Friday, March 2nd at her daughter's home in Mocksville, NC.
Mrs. Smith, born in Union County, was the daughter of the late Silas Oscar Mullis and Lettie Caroline Long Mullis, and the widow of Coy Muckle Smith. She was also preceded in death by children,Gwendolyn Smith Staton, Jeffery Lynn Smith, and an infant son, Gregory Scott Smith; son-in-law, Carroll Staton, grandson, Randy Smith and siblings Virginia Love, Rufus Mullis, Oscar "Bill" Mullis, Bessie High, Doris Brooks, Lee Dale Edwards, Betty Jo Kiker, Edsel Mullis and Ralph Mullis.
