June Cunningham, 72, of North Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her residence.

Born June 26, 1945 in Oneida, Tennessee, Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of the late Roscoe Franklin Allen and Opal Lee Robbins Kidwell.

She married Arlie Joseph “Skip” Cunningham on May 7, 1973 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1986.

Mrs. Cunningham was a December 17, 1979 graduate of Jennings County High School and had 21 credit hours with the University of Phoenix. She worked for Res-Care for four years as a caregiver. Mrs. Cunningham piloted and worked for the Indiana State Guardianship for 19 years and Agency Community Services Homemaker/Handyman Program for 16 years. She enjoyed pottery, ceramics, word puzzles and cats.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Leo Allen of El Paso, Texas; daughters, Lisa Allen and Sheena (Daniel Rosenbalm)Cunningham both of North Vernon; brothers, Raymond Kidwell, Jr. of North Vernon and Randy Kidwell of Columbus; sisters, Kathy (Jerry) Betts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Peggy (John) Brady, Bonnie (Dale) Williamson and Nancy (Ray) Pinnel all of Florida and Sherry (Larry Marksberry) Grunden of North Vernon; grandchildren, Shelby (Gabe) Gerth of Butlerville, Anthony Allen, Daniel Allen and Zachary Rudicel all of North Vernon and Kimberly Allen of El Paso, Texas; and a great-grandchild, Tommy Allen of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Arlie Joseph “Joey” Cunningham, II; brothers, Dean, William and John Lewis Allen Sr.

Private Services were held with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Burial was in the Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.
