Pamela Jo Hewitt Carter passed away March 12, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born April 11, 1959 in Kirksville Missouri, daughter of Roy Jr. and Theresa Shaw Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her father and infant brother. In 1978 she married Kelley Platz. From that marriage, one son, Tyler, was born. She was later married to Larry Carter on June 22, 1996 near Branson, Missouri. Larry and Pam lived in the Springfield area until her death.

She is survived by her husband Larry, son Tyler and his partner Kira Blighton, and grandchildren Charlotte and Hunter, her mother Theresa, brother Buzz Hewitt, sister Linda Van O' Linda and her husband Chris, sister Barb Goettsch and her husband Greg, several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Pam participated in the 4-H Busy Beavers club as a child and attended the Willmathsville Church. She later accepted Christ and was baptized.

Pam's kind heart and gentle loving nature will be painfully be missed.

If your life has been touched by Pam in any way, you are invited to visitation on Friday (March 16, 2018) at 10 a.m. and funeral service 11 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville. Burial will be at Willmathsville Cemetery immediately after funeral services.
