Viola May (Boppe) Martin, 93, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Augusta Health. She was born May 10, 1924 in Clear Spring, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Drury Boppe.

Viola retired from General Electric-Genicom and was a member of Lynside Mennonite Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Martin; one sister, Ethel Pifer.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph Larry Martin and friend, Carol of Baltimore, Maryland, Joseph C. Martin and wife, Denise of Waynesboro; four daughters, Ruby C. Bradfield and husband, Gerald of Waynesboro, Betty J. Davis and husband, Richard of Waynesboro, Mary M. Davis of Waynesboro, Judy M. McGann and husband, Gary of Lyndhurst; one brother, Charles G. Boppe and wife, Alice of Waynesboro; one sister, Esther Arnold and husband, Earl of Lyndhurst; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Lynside Mennonite Church with Pastor Gordon Miller and Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Richie Davis, Jason McGann, Corey Davis, Brett Davis, Ryan Martin, Aaron Martin and Dustin Kanney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Davis and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, and other times at her residence. Relatives and friends may share condolences and memories with the family by visiting www.reynoldshamrickfuneralhomes.com
