Harold "Hal" H. Bryant, Jr., 68, of Pinson, Alabama, died on March 7, 2018 at University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) hospital from complications following surgery. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold H. Bryant, Sr. He attended Hewitt-Trussville High School. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in Physical Education. He worked for Southern Company Services for many years as an Administrator in the Engineering Document Department. He retired in 2002. He is survived by his wife, mother, two brothers, sister, seven nieces and nephews, and nine great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. March 15, 2018 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville, Alabama.

Pinson resident, Harold H. Bryant, Jr. (aka Hal) passed away on March 7, 2018 in the hospital after surgery and multiple complications. The family would like to recognize UAB Hospital and the excellent medical care and affection the medical staff gave to Hal while he was so sick. In addition, the family would like to give a special thanks to Larry Mathews, Hal's lifelong friend, for being tirelessly by his side during his ordeal. Hal was born on August 13, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee to Harold H. Bryant, Sr. and Barbara Corley (Steen) Bryant. Hal could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He attended Hewitt-Trussville High School. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in Physical Education. He worked for Southern Company Services for many years as an Administrator in the Engineering Document Department. Hal enjoyed an early retirement beginning in 2002. He loved playing golf and traveled to Scotland, England, Hawaii, and many other places in the U.S.A. to do so. He also was interested in maintaining a manicured yard and multiple sports with his loyalty to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. Hal had many pets in the way of cats and a dog named Augie. He cherished them and was a true animal lover and supporter. He is survived by his wife Patricia Carol (Braxton) Bryant, his mother, Barbara Bryant, his brothers: Robert Steen Bryant; Steven Haywood Bryant and a sister, Virginia Ruth (Ginger) Clements, 7 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. Arrangements are at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Homes and Gardens in Trussville, Al. Funeral service at 2pm. Visitation immediately preceding at 1pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, 300 Snow Drive, Birmingham, Al 35209.
