October 12, 1978, at the Americana
Health-Care Center, Lafayette.
Born Jan. 31,1906, in Jasper County,
he was the son of Charles W. and Senia
Root Jenkins. He was married May 29,
1925, to Virgil Flora, who survives.
A retired farmer, he was a member
of the Old German Baptist Church,
Camden.
Surviving with the wife are two sons,
Carl Jenkins of Rt. 1, Flora, and Ralph
Jenkins of Rt. 1, Rossville; two
daughters, Dorothy Eikenberry of Rt.
1, Cutler, and Mary Ellen Miller of
Modesto, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, and
five great-grandchildren.
