Joyce was a truly generous soul. Whether filling your belly with her famous Mac N’ Cheese, being a friendly ear when needing a confidant, or surrounding you with a warm hug, she was always there for you.
In addition to raising her children, Joyce worked as a home health aide and recalled the work fondly. She was also an avid quilter, clever painter, enjoyed ceramics, gardening and truly loved to read. Joyce was a member of the Goodhue County Extension Homemakers and St. Columbkill Catholic Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband; children: Steve (Nancy), Pete (Bev), Kenny, Marie (Larry Veek), Bob, Randy, Charlie, Liz O’Neill, and Dana (Terri); 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; and four siblings: Patsy, Dan, Tom, and Diane.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children: Susan, Scott, Neil, and son-in-law Tim O’Neill; grandchild, Corey Stephen; great grandchild, Katherine Rose; and siblings: Johnny, Elaine, Dick, Madelyn, and Dora.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15 at St. Columbkill Catholic Church, Belle Creek. The family is hosting a visitation on Wednesday, March 14 from 5-7 pm at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
