Services for Lula Evelyn Harmon Taylor, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Judson Merrell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 401 Main Street, Gilbert SC 29054. Or Amedisys Hospice, 1900 Sunset Blvd. Suite 103, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Taylor died Friday, March 9, 2018. Born April 2, 1928 in Gilbert, a daughter of Godfrey and Tarzie Smith Harmon. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She retired from Olympia Mills. Survived by special friend and caregiver, Glenda Gunter; daughter and son-in-law Mildred Taylor Hall (Carroll); grandchildren, Melissa Taylor (Kenny), Chris Taylor, Brent Lee Hall, Stephanie Strickland, Kayla Rodgers, Justin Hall and numerous great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregiver, Wilma Abney. She was predeceased by her husband, Ensalee Taylor; daughter, Evelyn Taylor; son, Ancel “Buddy” Taylor; sisters, Mae Gable, Lillian Sharp Coleman and Ellen Amick; brothers, Andrew, Malachi, Rueben and Callie Harmon.
