Orangeburg - Gertrude Anna Brizzolara (nee Hauser), 90, of Orangeburg, NY passed away peacefully on March 6 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 4, 1927 to Edward and Anna (nee Lenahan) Hauser on Kings Highway in Tappan, NY. She was married for 55 years to her husband Charles who died on August 10, 2009. She is survived by her three children: Thomas (Nancy) of Norwood, NJ; Kathy (Paul) Saporito of New Milford, NJ; Dennis (Peggy) of Montvale, NJ. She is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren David, Michael, Alicia, Paul Joseph, Kristi, Jennifer, and Jonathan, her loving brother James Hauser of Blauvelt, NY, and many nieces and nephews. "Trudy", as she was known to many, was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters: Etta Stevenson, May Bradford, Helen Knapp, Lillian Kemmer, Charles Hauser, Joseph Hauser, Anna Isaksen, and Edward Hauser. Trudy grew up in Tappan, NY and was a 1945 graduate of Haverstraw High School. She was an employee of Zenith Labs in the 1980s. She was also a long time member of the Tappan Senior Citizens Club and the McGuire Center Crochet Club of Northvale, two places where she had many treasured friends. She took great pleasure and pride in her grandchildren's athletic and artistic endeavors and successes in their chosen careers. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 10am, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Highway in Tappan with burial to follow at Tappan Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday, 7-9pm and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home, 98 Route 303 South in Tappan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps, 70 Independence Avenue, Tappan, NY 10983 would be greatly appreciated (www.soacems.org).
