Son of Leonard White b. 1800 and Jane (maiden name unkn).

He married on 15 Apr 1858 in Miami Co., IN, Mary Ann York b. Dec 1840 in IN, daughter of Aaron York b. 1802 in Randolph Co., NC, and Mary Leakey b. 1802 in Knox Co., TN.

They had the following children: Jesse Perry, James A., Mary, William Preston, Arthur, Carl, and Otto White who married Mary Caroline "Callie" Langston.

Erastus and family migrated to IT in 1887 where the family settled near Haskell, OK.
