Cheryl Ann Rasmussen Heath, 72, Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer, at the House at Midland Care, surrounded by her family. Cheryl was born on April 17, 1944, in Seneca KS, the daughter of Raymond and Irene Kooser Rasmussen. She graduated from Bern High School in 1962. Cheryl and Michael Heath were united in marriage on August 22, 1980, in Topeka. They enjoyed 35 wonderful years together. Cheryl worked for Dillards Department Store as the store executive secretary. She retired in 2012 after 20 plus years of service. Cheryl loved to shop, cook and enjoyed traveling, but what she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her family. Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Michael Heath, of the home; children, Tiffany Deitcher (Eric), Berryton, Stacey Rohr, Kansas City MO and Eric Heath, Topeka; and grandchildren, Brandon Rohr, Zach Deitcher and Mason Deitcher. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Loretta Fischer in 2004. Family will greet friends from 6 8 p.m. on Friday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. A celebration of Cheryl s life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka KS 66606.
