George Bryan Dederick, 20, of Wilmington, died Thursday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Illinois, where he was stationed with the U.S. Navy.

A lifelong resident of the Wilmington area, Mr. Dederick was a 1969 graduate of Brandywine High School. He attended the University of Delaware for one year before enlisting in the Navy about a year ago. He was a member of the First and Central Presbyterian Church, 11th and Market Sts.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Editha Dederick of Bellwood, and a sister, Miss Linda Dederick, at home.

Services will be Tuesday morning at 11 at the First and Central Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the First Presbyterian Church memorial fund or a favorite charity.
