Mr. Tyson retired eight years ago as an accountant with Allied Chemical Corp., Claymont, after 37 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War I, and a member of Delaware Post American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Martha M. Tyson; a son, Charles A. Tyson of Fall River, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. Martha M. Fritz of Concord Manor; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday afternoon at 2 at the McCrery Memorial Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday night.
