He was born on Thursday, April 24th 1941 at the Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington, Vt., he was the son of Ernest George and Alretta Mae (Barber) Eddy.
After active duty, Jerry served in the Vermont Army National Guard for 32 years before retiring with an honorable discharge.
In 1985, Jerry moved to Vermont, he married Catherine Anne DeForge on July 11th 1987 in Essex, Vermont.
He was employed by Velan Valve Corporation until his retirement in 2000.
After working College Campus Security for several years, he secured a job at Green Mountain Flagging in 2009, where he spent the last 8 years working tirelessly as a dedicated Lead Supervisor.
Jerry was an outdoorsman--hunting, fishing, and tearing cars apart when he wasn't keeping up with household maintenance or spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents; his father Ernest Eddy on July 27th 1989 and his mother Alretta Eddy on August 21st 2007, and one brother; Milton James Eddy on April 27th 2015.
Arrangements by the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Services on 1132 Main Street in Winooski, Vt.
A military service will take place in Cambridge, N.Y. at a later date.
