Born March 7, 1909, in Fountain Green to Otis and Jennie M. Carnes Rhea, he first married Ruby Derry Dec. 28, 1931. She died Aug 14, 1976. One sister and one brother preceded him.
He married Alberta Konkler July 25, 1980, and she survives, along with two sons, Arlo Rhea of Colchester and, Ronald Rhea of Monmouth; four stepsons, Jack, Ron, Jess and Don Kokler, all of Colchester; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; a brother James Rhea of Burlington, Iowa; and a sister Dorothy Wheeler of Dallas City.
He worked for Frost Security for 10 years, then for L.B. Price Company for 20 years. He was a member of Senior Citizens Club.
Friends may call at Dodgeworth-Piper-Wallen Chapel after 5 p.m. today and until services at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The Reverend Ernest Louderman will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
