Mrs. Jeanette Kirby, Age 80, resident of Columbus died on Monday, November 7, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery on Friday, November 11, 2005, 1 P.M. with Rev. Udell Addison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 10, 2005 from 6-8 P.M. Mrs. Kirby was a homemaker and longtime member of Central Baptist Church, Columbus. She born in Newville, AL on January 22, 1925, daughter of William Ovie Taylor, Sr., and Annie Bell Walker. Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband George Elwood Kirby. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Kirby Helms of Shelbyville, TN.; one son, Terry Lee Kirby of Columbus; one brother, Bill Taylor and his wife Margie of Macon; granddaughter, Lisa Haynes and her husband Mark of Bell Buckle, TN.; grandsons, Jason Helms of Pelham, AL., Kevin Kirby, and Christopher Kirby, both of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Sha-lee Savannah and Anthony Haynes, both of Bell Buckle, TN., and Brenton and Starr Kirby, both of Columbus; other relatives and friends.
