He is also survived by his sister Billy Marie Quinn and her husband Thomas and brother Fred and his wife Shirley.

Sonny was every ones favorite uncle and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sonny became a welder shortly after he was married and learned the sheet metal business. In 1980 he built and opened Sunny Bowl in Round Rock Tx. He owned and assisted in operations until 1996 when it was sold.

Sonny joined the Masonic lodge in Round Rock TX in the 1970’s and eventually became Grand Master. He then went on to join the Shriners. He is still member in good standing with the Round Rock lodge.

He purchased a home in Seadrift Tx and enjoyed many years of fishing on the Texas coast with friends and family.

For the past 10 years Sonny owned and raced thoroughbred race horses in partnership with Robert Schultz a high school friend and horse trainer in Louisiana. He really enjoyed going to the race tracks in Louisiana to see the horses run and he had many winners.

Thank you dad for the many years of support and friendship. You loved gathering with friends and family and showed us what family was truly about. You will be missed but not forgotten as you will live on in your children, grandchildren and everyone you met. Thanks Dad.
