Henry Amey
Former Resident Passed Away Yesterday At Streator, Illinois

Relatives in the city have received announcement of the death of Henry Amey, a former resident of Warren County, at Streator yesterday. He was born near Larachland seventy-two year ago and although he has been gone from the county for many years he will be well remembered by some of the older residents.
He was a member of the Eighty-Third Regiment, Illinois Volunteers, and left the service with an honorable record.
Mrs. Amey's wife, who was a sister of Mrs. George Kern of Monmouth, died about six years ago, her body being brought here for burial. Mr. Amey is survived by a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Jennings of Streator, Mrs. John Baker and Mrs. Fred Hewitt of this city are nieces, and Earl Amey is a nephew.
The remains are expected to arrive in Monmouth tonight or early tomorrow and funeral services will be held at the Turnbull and Lofftus undertaking parlors, at 9:40 o'clock tomorrow morning. In charge, the Rev. S.G. Huey of this city.
