Funeral services for Ronnie Millard Bennett of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2019 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Ronnie, 70, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia B. McLemore. Born in Dougherty County, he was the son of the late Rev. Millard Johnson Bennett and Annie Maude Puckett Bennett.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany. Ronnie was retired from Tyson Foods and an active member of Union Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and supporter of the Bulldogs.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Royce Pullin Bennett of Cordele; daughter, Dell Nipper of Cordele; grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Julie McLemore of Douglas, Caleb McLemore and Blake and Nikki Manning of Cordele; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah McLemore, Bailey Manning and Libby Manning; a sister and her husband, Betty and Herman Taylor of Albany; his furbaby and constant companion, Chloe; and special friends, Melvin and Sandra Black, Randy and Britney Powell and Terri Nipper.
