Eric J. McDonald, loved by so many for his courage and positive outlook on life, died suddenly in his home on February 16, 2018.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 1, 1971, he and his family moved to San Jose, California in 1976.\
Eric is survived by his wife, Joanna Wong-McDonald, daughter Lauren McDonald, step-daughters, Gabriella Ip and Yasmine Davis. Son of Joseph F. McDonald, and the late Mary T. McDonald, he was the brother of Karen M. Kovacevich (Greg), and Marc F. McDonald (Alejandra). Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive him.
Graduate of Monta Vista High School, Cupertino and Fresno State College, Eric enjoyed exploring many things in life, some of which were, analyzing sports and movies, creating films, learning to play the guitar and piano, and creating a business. He was a true Renaissance man who will be missed beyond measure.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00A.M at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1200 Redmond Avenue, San Jose. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Los Altos.
