Mrs. Linda Faye “Nanny” Beck Horton, 68 of Mount Airy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 8, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Horton was born in Forsyth County on October 24, 1949 to Mozelle Gillispie Harrell and the late Elmer Lee Beck. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. Nanny was the rock of the Horton family and will live on forever through the many lives that she has touched and loved on. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of almost 51 years, Thomas “Tommy” Kertley Horton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tonya Horton, and Sonya and Brady Sechrist; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sherrie Horton, and Trent and Ashley Horton; fifteen grandchildren, Santana Horton, Dustin Gammons, Courtney Edwards, Bryson Horton, Sydney Horton, Isaiah Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Nathan Horton, Alex Horton, Ava Horton, Baylee Ellis, Brayden Graybeal, Caitlin Sechrist, Trevor Chaney, and Britney Kass; five great-grandchildren, Trey Cole Pulliam, Harvey Gammons, Eliana Mae, Emery Faye and Emma Kass; her mother, Mozelle Gillispie Harrell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Edward Beck; and a nephew, Edward Gray Beck. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm. Services will be conducted by Rev. Mike Martin and Rev. Tedd Crotts. Burial will follow in the Ararat Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 6-8pm.
