Samuel confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a faithful usher until his health began to fail.
Samuel was a loving husband and father. He was a committed and dedicated hard worker for the United States Corp of Engineers for over fifty years.
He transitioned on May 18, 2016 to be with the Lord. Samuel is preceded in death by his father, McKenneth Lewis, his mother, Angel Green, his beloved wife, Izzie Mae Banks-Sanders, a daughter, Listine Sanders, and a brother, Joe Nathan Sanders.
