Joyce "Faye" Whelchel Abercrombie age 82 of Dahlonega passed away on March 8, 2018. Faye was born September 23, 1935. She was a native of Dahlonega and member of Etowah Baptist Church. Mrs. Abercrombie was a retired secretary from the State Rehabilitation Office Of Georgia. She also worked alongside her daughter at Long Branch Day Care; where all the children knew and loved her and called her Granny. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Abercrombie is preceded in death by her parents Loye Whelchel and Ruby Wilson Whelchel; and her brother Earl Whelchel.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday March 11 , 2018 at 3pm in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery.
