On August 2, 2003 Ryan died at the young age of 22, while camping with friends at Lake Enjar. Ryan was born October 4, 1980 to Doug & Paula Weeks in Everett, WA.

A Whatcom County resident since 1987, he was a 1999 graduate from Mount Baker High School. Growing up, Ryan excelled in both soccer and basketball. Through select soccer programs such as the Whatcom County F.C. Rangers, he was able to develop skills that led to great achievements. Receiving rewards such as all league 2nd team midfielder in his freshman and sophomore years to 1st team all league defender for his junior. He led the Mount Baker High School Soccer Team to its 1st state birth, by scoring the winning goal in a district finals shootout. His senior year, he continued his excellence by receiving 1st team all league defender along with the prestigious award of player of the year for North Cascade Conference. As the starting guard and senior year captain of his basketball team, Ryan led them to many district tournaments. He was a respected player both on and off the court and field.

Ryan married his high school sweetheart, Jaclyn Johnson, on September 1, 2001 in La Conner, WA. Choosing to remain close to family and friends, they resided in Sudden Valley. After high school, Ryan stayed active in indoor and outdoor soccer leagues throughout Washington. At a young age, he became a highly respected carpenter working from Whatcom to King County. He was able to share his talent and skills working for such companies as BMC West and Bay View Construction. In 2002, Ryan was able to live his dream and start his own company with his family- W.eeks C.onstruction C.ompany- a trade and company passed on from his grandfather, Everett Weeks.

Survived by family members: his wife Jaclyn, Bailey their dog parents Doug & Paula Weeks his brother Travis and "Gaupo" grandmother Sadie Weeks in-laws: Mike, Cathy, Abby, & Stuart Johnson. Ryan also leaves behind many friends, which he would have loved to thank for all the good times they shared. Many people were touched by his caring heart and unconditional love. He will always be remembered by his bright smile, open arms and his ability to light up a room with just his smile. Although Ryan is missed, his family and friends find comfort and peace knowing he is in Heaven above with his Lord and Savior.

The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at 2:00 pm at His Place Community Church, 1480 S. Burlington Blvd with viewing Tuesday, August 12th, 2-8p at Hulbush Funeral Home, 281 S. Burlington Blvd., Burlington, WA.
