Glen Freeman, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Abilene.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 till 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 12, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Glen was born at Hendrick Hospital on November 26, 1942 to Ed and Arttie Freeman.

He attended school in Tucson, Arizona.

In 1961 Glen enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.

He married Carolyn Davis in 1965 and graduated from McMurry University in 1976.

He worked for Eckerd Drug and was a substitute school teacher for AISD for seventeen years.

Glen enjoyed playing golf and dominos with his friends.

Glen and Carolyn were blessed with 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised three children who they loved spending time with and he was most proud of their eight grandchildren.

He was a member of Wylie Church of Christ.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his three children, Cari Solomon, Glen Freeman Jr., and Chad Freeman; his eight grandchildren, Lauren, CharlesAnn, Emily, Madilen, Carlee Mae, Aric, Ender, and Ian; and one sister, Wanda Malone.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Winell Townzen; and a brother, James Freeman.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to Dr. Joseph and Mary Crumbliss, Dr. Ning, and Hendrick Hospice Care for all the care and support they received.
