Ronald was the son of Reinhold Baker Bald and his wife Florence .
He was born in Harrogate, Yorkshire on the 22nd December 1888 and baptised in the town on the 27th January 1889.
Ronald served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) in WW1.

Badly injured at the Battle of Loos in 1915 he returned home as an invalid .

He died in April 1928 due to the injuries he received at that battle and was buried in St Peter’s.
