Memphis, TN - Morgan Johnson, Sr. 82, died March 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. Morgan was drafted in the US Army in 1956 and served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War. During his military career, he received many commendations, including the Bronze Star for heroic actions in a combat zone and the Army Commendation Medal. After his retirement in 1977, he returned to Memphis and worked with Burns International Security Services and Star Distributors. He is survived by two sons: Carl Johnson, Morgan (Marilyn) Johnson Jr.; two daughters: Margaret (Ernest) Austin, Zwanda (Dale) Carlson; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Johnson, and his son, Jerry Johnson. Service will be Saturday, March 10, at 10 a.m., Mt.
