A native of Abingdon, VA he is the son of the late Porter and Gertha (Sexton) Arnold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children, one grandchild, one sister, and three brothers. Daniel proudly served his country in both the Navy and the Army.
He was a member of the 538 local plumbers and pipefitters union for nearly 50 years. Daniel loved to do yardwork, especially tending to his flowers and feeding birds.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife of 33 years, Marcia Arnold; son Victor K. Arnold; three step-children, Kimberly Watrous, Kelly Mashburn, and Brian Britt; sisters, Shelby Jean Saults and Diane Baker; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
