She was a native of Talladega.
She attended Talladega High School and graduated with the class of 1970.
She attended Jacksonville State University and in 1974 moved to Birmingham, Al where she lived until her death.
Upon moving to Birmingham she worked for Cooper & Lybrand and then later worked for Ernst & Young.
