Dorothy Mae (Ruckert) Garner, 78, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
Dorothy was born in La Grange, Texas on November 27, 1939, the daughter of William F. Ruckert and Albina Frances (Polasek) Ruckert. She married Huey Garner in 1975 in La Grange. Dorothy was a loving and caring wife to Huey for 43 years.
Dorothy worked as a waitress at the Bon Ton Restaurant and then worked for Weikel’s Bakery for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Huey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, TX 78945.
