Kenneth W. “Andy” Anderson, 83, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Canyon with Roman Asbill, associate pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday at Littlefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 8 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.

Kenneth W. “Andy” Anderson was born on September 18, 1934 in Ranger to Samuel and Lillie Hall Anderson. He grew up in Jal, NM and graduated from Jal High School. He completed his undergraduate work at ENMU and received his Masters of Education from Adams State University. He married Mary Wingo on June 21, 1957 in Muleshoe.

Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He taught school for 38 years, retiring at Will Rogers Elementary in Amarillo in 1985. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the mountains, especially Pagosa Springs, CO. He loved spending time with his family and cooking breakfast for them was a favorite pastime of his. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

The family suggests memorials be to the Alzheimer’s Association, 110 Mesa Park Dr., Ste 250, El Paso, TX 79912.
